Directions to SBTDC

 

Location of SBTDC and parking


Take Grand to the stoplight at Holland street. Go north on Holland to Madison. Turn east onto Madison, which is the first stop sign.

Turn south on Clay street at the intersection where Madison ends. Lot 19A is outside the west entrance of Glass Hall and is the
closest place to park. If 19A is full, you may also park in Lot 20 or 25. Lot 20 has to be accessed on its west end, off of Holland Street.
You may access Lot 25 from the south end of Madison, or from the west off of Holland Street.

Enter Glass Hall through the two sets of double doors on the west side of the building. Above the door it reads "Center for Business &
Economic Development."

The SBTDC offices are on the first floor, west entrance of Glass Hall (Room 113).


Driving Directions from outside of Springfield:

FROM I-44 & KANSAS EXPRESSWAY


Take the Kansas Expressway exit - south to Grand (stop light).

Turn left (east) on Grand and take it down to Holland (stop light). Turn left on Holland (north) and take it past the multi-level parking garage and Strong Hall to the first stop sign, which is Madison.
Turn right (east) on Madison. Where Madison ends at the intramural sports field, turn right (south) and that will run you into parking Lot 19A, which is right outside the west entrance of Glass Hall.
Above the center entrance it reads "Center for Business and Economic Development". Enter through those doors.

If parking Lot 19A is full, your permit will also be valid for blue, reserved lot 20 (which you access from the west off of Holland Street, before you reach the stop sign at Madison and Holland).
Your permit is also valid in yellow, commuter lot 25 at the corner of Madison & Clay, which you can access from the west off of Holland Street, or from the south off of Madison.

 


 

FROM I-44 & HWY. 65


Take Hwy. 65 South - exit at Chestnut Expressway (the 3rd exit).
Continue west on Chestnut Expressway for about 2 miles - you will pass through approximately 8 stop lights. You want to turn left (south) on Sherman.

At the intersection of Sherman and Chestnut Expressway there will be a stop light and a sign on the corner with directions to the University Plaza - Holiday Inn.

Continue south on Sherman for about one mile. Sherman will change into John Q. Hammons Parkway as you cross the intersection at Trafficway.
You will also cross St. Louis St., Walnut, Elm, Cherry & Harrison Streets.

Turn right (west) on Monroe (4-way stop sign).

Turn left (south) on Clay Street. Take Clay south into our visitor parking Lot 19A. 19A is a reserved lot that is right outside the west entrance of Glass Hall, which is the entrance to our center.
Above our entrance it reads "Center for Business and Economic Development."  If 19A is full, you can go west (left) on Madison to Holland Street. Turn left (south) on Holland to the entrance
on your left to access the blue, reserved parking Lot 20.

If parking Lot 20 is also full. Your permit is also valid for yellow, commuter Lot 25 between Holland and Madison. You can access it off of Holland Street from the west, or Madison street from the south.

 


 

FROM SOUTH OF SPRINGFIELD


Take James River Freeway to the National Ave. exit.

Take National Avenue north to the intersection of National & Grand. (You will pass through approximately 8 stop lights).

Turn left (west) on Grand.

Take Grand to Holland and turn right (north) on Holland (stop light). Take Holland street to the first stop sign, which is Madison. Turn right (east) on Madison.
Where Madison ends at the intramural sports field, turn right (south) and that will run you into parking Lot 19A, which is right outside the west entrance of Glass Hall.
